The Vote

Project 001 · The Vote

The vote opens January 20.

Two years to the day after the inauguration, every sponsor gets a say in where the money goes. Fourteen days later, we cut the check in public.

No hat, no vote.
Each hat sold carries one vote on where the money goes. Voting opens January 20, 2027.

Rank the slate. Ranked-choice counting, so the winner has a true majority. Voting closes February 2 at midnight Pacific.

Results posted, the check is cut in public, and the winner gets hats No. 0086, No. 4786, and No. 8647 to auction.

Your hat is your ballot.

Every hat sold is one vote. Buy a pair, get two. On January 20 we email every sponsor a ballot with a vetted slate of pro-democracy organizations. You rank them. The one with a true majority gets 33 percent of every hat sold and every auction dollar.

How the slate is picked
Every organization on the ballot fights the slide into oligarchy and authoritarianism, has agreed to take the money, and has its tax status checked. No PACs. Each Founding 47 holder can nominate one organization, and nominees face the same vetting. Votes are one per hat, for everyone. The full slate goes public the day voting opens.
